Training Info
Location: Shadwell Outdoor Activity Centre E1W 3TD
Session timings: Monday & Friday 6:45pm, Saturday 10:00am
If you are new to us, please email us (eastendcanoepolo@gmail.com) before coming to let us know about your canoe polo experience. Canoe Polo is a sport that requires a complex combination of skills and we only use polo specific equipment that can be unstable. We are not set up to train newcomers to kayaking and have a minimum expectation of your experience and ability.
If you have not played Canoe Polo before, we would recommend checking out Tower Hamlets Canoe Club at Shadwell or Castle Canoe Club near Finsbury Park for beginner friendly kayaking and canoe polo sessions.
To train at an East End session, you need to have either joined as a member or completed a guest form in that membership year. Once you have filled in a form, please sign up using the Spond app / website and register your attendance for each session in advance. Please let us know once you have completed a form and sent us a Spond request so we can add you and expect you for your first session.
If you have a relevant medical condition, please make this known to us. This includes allergies (and if you have an epipen), asthma, diabetes and cardiac conditions.
Guest £10 per session (concessions £7), all equipment hire included!
Annual Membership
Annual membership is currently £150 or £110 for concessions (i.e. undergraduate students, under 18s, unwaged or retired). The East End Membership year runs from October 1st to September 30th.
Half-year membership is available for people joining after 1st April, at half the full price.
To join, please complete our membership form.

Attending sessions as a guest
Visitors and non-members may join our session as a guest. Guests pay a fee per session. You may only attend up to 6 sessions as a guest if you are not a BCU member, for insurance purposes.
The club will have all the equipment you need aside from your personal clothing. Your first ever session at the club will be free. Thereafter we will charge a per session fee of £10 (£7 concession).
To train with us as a guest, please complete a guest form.
Please note you need to do this every membership year so we ensure we have an up to date set of information for you.
